BRUCE INNES 6 & 12 String Guitar <> Vocals <> Piano
Bruce is the founding member of The Original Caste and the
visionary for the group’s sound. He has a musical history of
gold records and several top ten hits as a songwriter. Bruce is
the complete package in music and entertainment: a singer
of distinctive style with a unique expressiveness; he is a witty and
humorous entertainer and a consummate musician on both the
6 and 12-string guitars, as well as piano.
JULIAN KERR Guitar <> Keyboard <> Vocals <> Bass
Julian is a veteran member of The Original Caste and the
go-to-virtuoso. He is equally adept at guitar, keyboard, bass and vocals. Julian’s reputation as Alberta’s musical wizard is re-enforced at every Original Caste concert. His musical technique and expertise elevate every song and every recording by The Original Caste, and his guitar and keyboard solos are legendary. Julian dazzles audiences wherever The Original Caste performs.
SHELLEY JONES Vocals <> Guitar
As lead female vocalist for The Original Caste Shelley’s passion for music is clearly evident in every song. Her sound is soulful, passionate, and intense. From pop bands and jazz trios to big bands and symphony orchestras, Shelley is a highly experienced stage performer with a unique, inventive, original delivery and four solo albums to her credit. Shelley’s soaring vocals infuse every Original Caste performance with excitement, taste, and style and she continues to expand her fan base across North America.
BRUCE MOHACSY Bass <> Keyboard <> Vocals
Bruce has across the board talent. He has impressive skill on multiple instruments and expertise in almost all musical styles (maybe not rap) and contributes immensely to The Original Caste’s versatility and rich depth of sound. Clarence “Big” Miller, B.B. King, P.J. Jerry, The Tommy Banks Big Band, and Ian Stewart are among the greats that he has worked with either touring, performing and/or recording. Among his credits are sound and the score for the international comedy “Red Wine and Canvas” with which he toured Britain in its world premiere. He is an Ampia award winner as Music Writer/Arranger/Player for the children’s TV series “Be Alert Bert”.
LORI MOHACSY Vocals <> Percussion
Lori is a harmony singer extraordinaire - the whiz kid of background vocals. She adds the final shine to The Original Caste’s extraordinarily full,complex sound. Her vocal talent has enhanced many Alberta recording studio projects and she has been involved with theatre, jazz and pop music on a world wide stage. She has toured the U.S. with two gospel groups and performed in Japan as a singer/dancer with the dance troupe, Kompani. She won an Ampia writer’s award for Best Episode in children’s TV. Lori teaches drama at The King’s University in Edmonton.
